  • This track is a sludgy industrial remix of answering machine messages. No vocals from the band members are present. This page is the first time anything has tried to provide a transcript of the dialogue in this song.
  • The song is named after Psalm 13, from the Book of Psalms in the Tanakh. This psalm is the pleading lament of someone who feels they have been abandoned by G-d.
  • Sample A comes from the 1930 film Animal Crackers, as spoken by Groucho Marx.
  • Samples C through P are all delivered by the same Quebecois woman. Her identity is unknown.
