Daddy's Chubby Little Secret

Written by Bootsauce, from Bootsauce, 1995

Daddy, where have you been?
I'm lonely inside, I've been living in sin
Better luck, maybe next time
Daddy's home, daddy's home

He's daddy's little chubby secret
Still singing that same old song
Stand back, it's daddy's chubby secret
Still singing that chubby song

(Daddy...let's play...
I love daddy...let's play)

Daddy, what do you mean?
I'm a lovely child, really wish you'd've seen
Better luck, maybe you'll phone
Daddy's home, daddy's home

He's daddy's little chubby secret
Still singing that same old song
Stand back, it's daddy's chubby secret
Still singing that chubby song (x 2)

(Daddy...) x ∞
(...Let's play)

Daddy, what do you mean?
I'm real lonely inside, tell me where have you been?
Better luck, maybe next time
Daddy's home, daddy's home

He's daddy's little chubby secret
Still singing that same old song
Stand back, it's daddy's chubby secret
Been daddy's secret much too long (x 2)

(I love you, daddy...let's play...
hello, daddy, let's play...)

Notes:

  • Your first impression of this track might be that it's another of Bootsauce's lurid songs. That's an easy miss, but "Daddy's Chubby Little Secret" seems to actually be about a neglected child. The child being emphasized as "chubby" seems to mean that it's something his father finds unbecoming. His father coming home is a big occasion, though he never wants to stay.
  • The lyrics of "maybe next time" and "let's play" are evocative of "Play With Me". This song seems to be a (justifiably) angrier follow-up to "Play With Me".
